Alison Haile | Director of Communications

A Winston-Salem native, Alison grew up in the Methodist church. After studying Sociology and Religion at Roanoke College in Virginia, she moved to NYC to intern at an international non-government organization, before starting work on her Master of Divinity/Master of Social Work at Union Theological Seminary of Columbia University.

Alison has worked at various non-profits, as well as served on the communications and administration staff at two United Methodist churches, Park Avenue UMC in NYC and University UMC in Chapel Hill, NC.

Alison met her husband, Andy, in college and they have been married since 2012. They are the proud parents of two children; their daughter, Anderson, “AP” (6), and their son, Wells (3).

Favorite hobbies: Hobbies? I barely have time to sleep-these kids run me wild!

Favorite part of serving at FUMC: Being part of what feels like a true family at a historic church that dreams big to make a difference in their community.
