Serving Our Neighbors

One of the main goals of First UMC is to be a powerful advocate for those in need in our community. With a large number of folks in the High Point community struggling to afford basic necessities like soap, a toothbrush, or laundry detergent, Basie & Towel was launched as the 2021 Lenten Mission Project to help local families. A storage area was created in the Allred Center to collect hygiene items, cleaning supplies, and baby basics to be distributed through Northwood Elementary School, West End Mission, and A Shared Blessing food pantry.

The suggestion items listed below may be dropped off in the marked bins located in the foyer of the Education Building. Unable to shop? Consider dropping off coupons OR making a donation (marked Basin & Towel) and we will shop for you! For more info, contact Kim Myers (kim@fumc-highpoint.org).
