As we journey together in faith I am overwhelmed by the beauty and strength that comes from our unity as a church family. This year, as we embark on our stewardship campaign, Better Together, we are inspired by the witness of the early Christian community. As recorded in Acts Chapter 4, there was a level of unity among those first believers, a unity that was deep and genuine. They shared their resources, supported one another, and ensured that everyone’s needs were met. There was a willingness to give as a concrete expression of their solidarity in Christ. The early church thrived because the believers understood that they were stronger together. It was their conviction, as is our conviction, that in Jesus Christ, we are one people.

Today, we are called to live out that spirit of unity. At First UMC, we are blessed to have a community that is committed to sharing the Hope of Christ as we worship, connect, and serve. Our ministries are vibrant, our outreach is impactful, and our worship is alive with the presence of God. Yet, none of this would be possible without the generous support of members like you.

As we launch this year’s stewardship campaign, we are asking each of you to prayerfully consider how you can contribute to the ministry and mission of First UMC. How is God calling you to share your gifts with the whole community? I truly believe that we are Better Together. When we come together to share our resources, we can do more than we could ever do alone. Just as the early believers shared everything they had, we too can create a community where the Hope of Christ is shared in significant and impactful ways.

Below you will find A Guide to Giving; a good place to start as you reflect on your commitment, as well as a link to this year’s Digital Pledge Card. Thank you for your continued faithfulness and generosity. Together, unified by our faith in Jesus, we will continue to share the Hope of Christ from the heart of High Point.
