Sunny Lee | Associate Choir Director & Pianist
Sunny graduated Cum Laude from UNC Greensboro, where she achieved her BM and Master's in Piano Performance on full scholarships. She has won numerous competitions including the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) competition, the Gina Baucher International competition, and the UNC-G Concerto Competition. She is currently a doctoral candidate of the Juilliard School studying with Oxana Yablonskaya.
Lee has performed many solo and chamber recitals and has been invited to perform piano solos and concertos with several renowned orchestras in the United States, Europe, and Asia, and she has appeared on the radio as a guest artist. She has served as the District Chairperson for the NC Music Teachers Association (NCMTA), adjudicator for several national and international piano and music competitions, as well as a professor at WMA in New York. Lee previously served as the conductor and Music Director at Korean First Presbyterian Church and has served as the Associate Choir Director and pianist at First United Methodist Church since 2017.

Favorite part of serving at FUMC: I love the people at FUMC. They are incredibly loving, caring, and supportive of me and my family, and my music, all in the love of Christ and that is the ultimate reason that made me stay since my day 1 at FUMC. They got me hooked!
