VBS 2025 Volunteer Needs
Help guide kids on the ultimate Alaskan adventure where northern lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and glistening glaciers!
As kids trek the tundra, they’ll explore how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world today. Point kids to Jesus, a faithful friend we can always trust. It’s hard to find your way in a world gone wild. But we have Jesus—our true north! Together, let’s give kids a rock-solid foundation and point them to Jesus, their unmovable, unshakable friend forever!
See below for all the ways you can help bring VBS True North to life.

Implementing VBS
In general, volunteers helping during the week of VBS will need to be available between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 23. through Thursday, June 26. However, exceptions can be made - contact Mrs. Myers if you are interested in volunteering but may have a small conflict on a specific day/time that week.
Crew Leader & Youth Crew Leaders: Whe need at least 10 adult and 10 youth crew leaders for the week. Crew Leaders can be teenagers, college students, parents, or grandparents. They aren’t responsible for teaching, and they don’t have to prepare anything; they need only to love the Lord and love working with children, guiding their Crew members through activities, helping to facilitate discussions, and generally joining in the VBS fun!
Station Leaders: Station Leaders are the core of True North. These are the people who prepare and demonstrate to the kids what it means to trust Jesus in everyday life through daily lessons and activities. Each station will be comprised of one Station Leader and 2 or more assistants. Activities range from crafts to games to science experiments to storytelling. Youth volunteers are also a huge asset to stations!
Music & Skit Leaders: Each day at the opening and closing of VBS, we will gather for Sing & Play. Youth Volunteers are needed to help lead the campers through the songs with fun movements.
