Transformation Journey Update

Friends at First UMC,

Our Transformation Journey has begun! Partners from the Western NC Conference will guide us through our Leadership Team as we embark on a multi-stage discovery process for our church's future. Below you will find a link (hard copies are also available in the Sanctuary, Praise & Worship on Wrenn, and the foyer of the Education Building) to the initial Discovery Team Report* for your prayerful reflection, affirmation, and support. We welcome YOUR input. Please plan on attending one of two FUMC Town Hall Meetings for more information as we discern our next steps:

Sunday, June 2, at 2:00 p.m. in the Allred Center

Wednesday, June 12, at 6:00 p.m. in the Allred Center

Thank you for supporting the ministry of FUMC as we continue to share the hope of Christ from the heart of High Point. Our future is BRIGHT!

Gart Evans,

Chair, Leadership Team & Church Council

*Please Note: Several suggestions listed in the recommendations are already in progress at First UMC such as addressing accessibility with the Sanctuary elevator project and the remodeling of bathrooms in the Allred Center. Our Vision statement has been defined, and we have accomplished several strategies to live into God's vision. We are a church on the move! This report offers recommendations that will help us to define our goals in more detail providing assurance that we are aiming our energy and resources in a faithful direction.
