Current Sermon Series

First UMC is on a journey through the Bible! Day by day over the next year, we will read from Genesis through Revelation, and this Reading Guide will serve as your map to get you from cover to cover. If you desire, you may follow along in The Bible Year by Magrey DeVega, which provides the daily readings along with a short devotional every day. We strongly encourage each family unit to have at least one copy of this book to help guide you through the year. In addition, download a Bible Road Trip Atlas (linked below) for resources and a printable reading guide.

If you miss a day, that's okay! Just pick up with the next day of reading and go back if you have time. Choose any Bible that is enjoyable for you to read (see the "Resources" section in the Atlas for suggestions), and be sure to create a sacred space and time each day to do your reading. May this be a time of peace and inspiration as we journey through the greatest book of all time - and remember, we're all in this together!
